[ When the feed clicks on a blond and very athletic young woman takes up most of the picture, one corner of her lip a little twisted while she tries to explain her feelings. ]

Do you guys always get these kind of strange vibes in this place, or is it just me and the fact that it's my first day. [ Clearly she fails at explaining this. But she's here, and she doesn't plan on leaving in the near future, so she's just going to have to suck it up.

Her smile is more forced, but she's not exactly disappointed or upset though. ]

Hello. [ She begins with a small wave. ] My name's Cassie, I'm a new warden. Uh... Wow, this almost feels like being in school again. [ Getting ready to say stuff about herself most people won't care about or remember. ]

Before coming here I lived in San Fransisco and work usually kept me pretty busy. [ If anyone recognizes her red shirt emblazoned with two "Ws" they might know who she is, and even if they don't, they may recognize it as Wonder Woman's symbol. ] I like archaeology, the color red, pizza, and being a warrior, among other things. And despite these strange vibes, which I'm sure will go away anyway, I am happy to be here. It's new and something different, not really what I'm used to, but I'm sure my time here will be memorable nonetheless.

Wrong Amazons. I'm talking about the tribe of all female warriors dedicated to peace and protecting the world. [ It's hard not to say that with a hint of sarcasm. ]

Well of course. My mistake. [He manages it with just a straight enough face that it's up for debate whether he's being serious or not, toeing the line the way only someone who's made a habit of it can. He doesn't leave time to linger, moving on in the next moment with obviously honest curiosity.]

What kinda work keeps an Amazon warrior busy in San Francisco?

Now, don't laugh. I'm being completely serious here. I worked with a team of heroes battling the evils of the universe, and our tower was in San Francisco. I lived there, but since evil will never take a holiday I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there. When I did, I was usually defending the tower or the city. Never got a chance to really enjoy it.

Now that I've told you so much about myself, are you at least going to tell me your name?

[She's pretty much the first person to be that straightforward about it with him; sure, he's suspected it of others, even knows a few of them from comic books, but she's so... Damn. He raises both eyebrows.]

You must have some pretty proactive evil in your world. [Dean fights evil, too, but it's usually less about saving a certain city or landmark and more about tracking it down and moving on to the next one. Then he blinks a bit and actually manages look a bit confused.] I didn't...? Oh. I'm Dean.

I think proactive evil is a problem plaguing the universe as a whole. [ Or multiverse, the whole shebang, whatever. ]

So, Dean. Are you also a warrior, or do they just fascinate you?

[Dean seems to choke on the laugh that he simultaneously tries to swallow back, and allow to slip out; he glances away a moment because his first, kneejerk answer is yes - we were raised like warriors, Dean and lord knows Winchesters stick out like sore thumbs in polite society, terminally rough around the edges and the product of active, violent lifestyles - but it sounds ridiculous. He's not a warrior, he's not a hero, he's just a guy with a gun and a car trying to do the best he can.] Just tryin'a figure out the new arrivals, darlin'. That's all. Someone answered your questions already?

[ Cassie can't quite put her finger on Dean and is about to ask if he's alright before he answers her question. If you can call it an answer. ]

[Dean is an odd one, and pretty much not unaccustomed to this reaction. He nods easily, shrugging.]
