✭ 001. ✭

[ When the feed clicks on a blond and very athletic young woman takes up most of the picture, one corner of her lip a little twisted while she tries to explain her feelings. ]

Do you guys always get these kind of strange vibes in this place, or is it just me and the fact that it's my first day. [ Clearly she fails at explaining this. But she's here, and she doesn't plan on leaving in the near future, so she's just going to have to suck it up.

Her smile is more forced, but she's not exactly disappointed or upset though. ]

Hello. [ She begins with a small wave. ] My name's Cassie, I'm a new warden. Uh... Wow, this almost feels like being in school again. [ Getting ready to say stuff about herself most people won't care about or remember. ]

Before coming here I lived in San Fransisco and work usually kept me pretty busy. [ If anyone recognizes her red shirt emblazoned with two "Ws" they might know who she is, and even if they don't, they may recognize it as Wonder Woman's symbol. ] I like archaeology, the color red, pizza, and being a warrior, among other things. And despite these strange vibes, which I'm sure will go away anyway, I am happy to be here. It's new and something different, not really what I'm used to, but I'm sure my time here will be memorable nonetheless.

No. He isn't assigned to anyone yet.

He was cloned by a group called N.O.W.H.E.R.E., not Cadmus, and apparently they intended him to be a weapon. He's still got TTK, but he glows red when he uses it, and it's pretty depleted here. He was apparently sent to stop teenage metahumans, who he was told were superpowered criminals, including people who sound like they're your, Tim and Bart's counterparts. He's never heard of Young Justice, and apparently was in conflict with the Teen Titans before getting here, which in his world are Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Solstice and Bunker.

He hasn't done anything particularly violent just yet, so my guess would be he's just misguided and trying to figure out where he fits in now that he knows N.O.W.H.E.R.E. was leading him in the wrong direction.

I know it's not. But I think he'll be out of here pretty quickly, he really doesn't seem like a bad kid.

And don't call him Conner, or Kon-El, apparently it means "an abomination" in his universe.
batmanschmatman: (brb being a detective.)

Anyone give you the talk about ports and floods yet?

There's no proof that it's caused by magic, but we don't have a scientific explanation for it, either. Floods last for generally two or three days, and their affects and who they effect are unpredictable. Ports generally lash a little longer, and usually we have the option to leave the Barge or not, generally with no advanced warning as to what world we're going to be stepping off at.

It's generally accepted that floods are when the Barge rubs up against the fabric of another reality. A breach is when the Barge rips through that, and affects everyone. There was one about a year ago now where we were all people in the American old West, we were pirates a while ago, that sort of thing.

[He is occasionally useful to have around. :P] Not really. I'd like to think I've made some progress with my inmate.
batmanschmatman: (Let's get dangerous.)

[Psh, don't feel like a wimp, Cassie.] It's complicated, and frustrating, but I don't mind it.

The biggest issue I've had here is that no one's organized. Back home, when you fall into a crisis or something, there's more of a chain of command and mutual respect to get people organized and getting what needs to get done, done. Here, people tend to be a lot more self involved, or think they can handle things without other people giving them a hand. Getting stuff done can be like herding cats.

Somewhat relatedly, Tim and I have kept pretty quiet about what we do back home. We've had a couple unfriendly faces show up, and it just seems safer to keep our identities secret for now.

[Hoo boy.] We were... actors on the set of a popular sci-fi TV show called The Last Voyages. So, basically our lives here, except we were all actors playing ourselves.
batmanschmatman: (Aw shucks.)

Let's just say I preferred being a cowboy.

There have been some bad days, but I've never seriously considered just walking away from it. [Tim + Warden Deal = Probably never leaving. :|]
