Oh gods! [ INSERT GAGGING. ] I can't get this cigarette taste out of my mouth. [ A mouth which is at the moment foaming a little at the corners with toothpaste. And she's back to brushing her teeth, then spitting, followed by more frantic brushing, one last spit, and finally a rinse. ]

Help? [ Cassie who has never before this breach smoked a cigarette in her life is for lack of a better word disgusted with herself. ] Not all the Febreze in the world is going to help, and apparently neither is a shower. [ She picks up a clump of blonde hair and sniffs it. ]

EUGH. I swear the smell is still in my hair. [ Actually she kind of wishes it were stuck only in her nose and that there was an easy solution. ]

I'll be in the gym if anyone needs me. It's not like I can wash my hair anymore... [ Grumble, grumble. ]

So what are the chances of me being able to look through Kara's file?

No problem. [Raises his hands up and they begin to glow.] It won't be weird if I put my hand in your hair, will it? It'll make it easier for me to scan your hair.

[ Weird? What? Why would it be weird. She's a big girl.

Okay that's too obvious. ] As long as your hands aren't sticky or dirty, no, it won't be weird. [ Because surely his hands are sticky or dirty. ]

What do you think I was doing with my hands?

[Gives her a funny look before he moves his clean hands into her hair. Cassie has her very own light show going on on top of her head as he scans it. He feels out any foreign objects in her hair and is able to push them away at a molecular level.]

Eating? Or gelling your hair without washing your hands. [ One look up answers the question about gel. ]

This is all hypothetical. I know your fingers aren't sticky or dirty. [ She just needs to put a sock in it. ]

So how about that breach?

[Doesn't respond for the time being because now that he's using his powers like this, he needs to concentrate as much as possible. If he had his full powers he'd be in good shape but he doesn't. Thanks to his meditation with B he's able to maintain focus like this for more than a few moments.]

[ Cassie follows his lead and also remains silent, despite him leaving her question unanswered. It's not like it's important anyway. ]

[A few minutes and a mild headache later, he's done. After coming back from his world where he had access to his full powers, it's frustrating to be limited again. He takes his hand away and massages his temple.]

There you go, you should be smoke free.

[ Making sure, Cassie grabs a handful of hair and inhales deeply.

She smiles up at Kon, dropping the hair. ]

Nicely done. I really can't smell it. [ But she's not asking him to do more not with the way he's rubbing his temple. ]

Thanks again. Too bad you can't do anything about the taste in my mouth-- Wait. That came out wrong. I meant-- It just looks really hard for you with the inmate thing and all. [ SHUT UP, SHUT UP. ]

HEY! Thanks so much again for the hair thing. What a pal.

[Whenever the two of them are together there's always a third presence with them and it goes by the name awkwardness. If they were back home he knows what his response would be.

Which leads to even more awkwardness. It's strange that she dated the Superboy in her world and he had a thing for the Wonder Girl in his world.]

You don't have to worry about that. Last time I tried to do anything with your mouth you nailed me in the face. [Now it's his turn to quickly correct himself.] And by you I mean the you in my world. Not you-you. [Cringes.]

You're welcome.

[ She forces a smile, but only because she wants to. It's not the him getting nailed in the face either, it wouldn't be, it's probably that third presence. ]

It's weird to think you guys haven't known each other for very long-- [ No. Don't go down this path. ] I mean, you're only a year old and I've known Conner for years-- [ DOH. ] Not that I'm comparing. You know the multiverse just blows right past me. [ Nice save. ] I guess you don't really know Bart or Tim that well either. [ Forever calling him Red Robin. Hilarious. But also kind of sad. ]

That's just weird to me. I mean, I guess it's not in the grand scheme of things. [ But to her? Yes. Then again, she and Tim have to be weird to him as well. ]

There are a lot of things that are weird in the grand scheme of things. Like you dating Conner in your world and then me having a thing for you in my world. Which I wouldn't have had if I kept my memories of Steph and I together on the Barge. [Apparently Kon took their little heart-to-heart as an opportunity to talk about the elephant in the room.]

[ See? Weird to him. Except for that last part, which only confirmed what she was mostly sure of. ]

Mmm Hmm. Weird all around I guess. [ But now that his feelings for Steph are back everything's cool right? She's not that other Cassie. So it's doubly cool. Right??

Cassie doesn't want to think about how much she doesn't want to have this conversation right now. ]

Look. I'm sorry I'm awkward. I'm not trying to be... [ Though it kind of seems that way she's thinking. And maybe right now, she's jumping the gun. ] And I'm sorry that it probably makes things even weirder for you.

[ And now she's going to sit down. ] But maybe this conversation is exactly what we need to get past that. [ She meant to say "I" but it came out as "we" accidentally... ]

It's weird all around. [Smiles at her, hoping to ease some of the awkwardness between the two of them.]

I had a conversation with Tim not that long ago and we cleared the air. I think it helped cut down on any potential awkwardness for him, when it comes to Steph and I dating.

[May have shot Tim a threatening look at one point, but that's a minor detail, really.]

It makes sense that it's weird. I mean we're different people, but we look and sound like the other people.

[ Not as different as you might think... But there is no way in hell she's saying that. This conversation is a step in the right direction and Cassie sincerely hopes it helps alleviate some of the awkwardness between them. ]

I thought I was used to Superboy clones by now-- Er, that didn't sound right. I know you're not a Superboy clone, what I'm trying to say is-- [ That's he's a lot like Conner? Cassie's gonna put he brakes on that one, the last thing she wants to do is insult the man. ] Never mind.

I'm glad we're clearing the air though. You know I've wanted to ask you to spar for a while now. [ Nice save. ] I guess now's as good a chance as any.

[By now Kon is used to Cassie's backtracking. He gets that she doesn't always word things the way she means too, so his feathers aren't ruffled. He understands what she is trying to convey or at least he thinks he does.]

That there's some similarities between the two of us? Personality wise, you don't remind me as much as the Cassie from my world. Then again, I think if she let her guard down, you'd be more alike. Tim reminds me of the Tim I know too. [Except the Tim from his world has more of an edge to him.]

I don't know how much of a challenge it would be for you, but I'm for the challenge. [Grins.]

How about I only use one hand? Or lose both? [ She teases, really locking on to the subject change. ]
